SENIOR COED LEVEL 3 NATIONAL CHAMPIONS 2ND YEAR RUNNING!!!!
Written by Leanne (Coach)
Tuesday, 21 June 2011

Matrix have returned from JAMfest Europe as Senior Co-ed Level 3 National Champions for the second year running. All teams appeared on the mat in their new kits and literally rocked the floor!!!
Senior and Youth Hip Hop were both placed second to two amazing teams and our Minis were crowned winners in both Hip Hop and Prop divisions.
In the Cheer divisions the standard was immense,,, our Minis were placed 3rd, an amazing achievement considering their competition, Youth came in 5th, again in a tough division, Juniors provided a WOW routine and narrowly missed out on 3rd by 0.01 of a point and Seniors went out there and shimmied their hearts out to regain their National Title.
All Coaches have commented on the standard of the teams performing as being the highest they've seen and Matrix really did themselves and their parents proud.

MATRIX ANNUAL AWARDS

Wednesday, 8 June 2011
MATRIX recently held their annual Birthday Show and Awards Night.
Congratulations go to our new Cheerleader of the Year Casey Hancock who has impressed the coaches throughout the year with her development within cheer. Casey has continued to improve her skills as a flyer and general all round excellent cheerleader. She is extremely dedicated, motivated and talented.
Cheerdancer of the Year was awarded to Abigail Beckett. Since joining the Mini Squad last year Abigail has continued to improve in her performance and dance ability. She always makes the coaches smile as she always puts in 110% in practise and performance.
Cheerleader's Champion was chosen by the cheerleaders themselves and the award went to Ross Gordon... a worthy winner as he has not only excelled in his stunting ability but in his tumbles, jumps and dance.
Well done to all other award winners who were awarded their trophies at the annual Birthday Show at the Oakley

Crewe Carnival

Matrix performed at Crewe's annual Carnival event.
The squad demonstrated everything they worked towards during summer school and performed in the main arena.
There was no parade this year so the team just gathered on the King George Playing Field and despite the weather they performed well. Coach SJ said: "The squad did really well considering that they only had 4 weeks to practise and we had a lot of new members. During the 4 weeks of summer school everyone went back to basics and concentrated on improving skills rather than creating routines."
The squad now have a break before the timetable kicks off on September 6th with Junior and Senior tryouts this Thursday from 5-7pm. Check out the new timetable on the website for changes to practise days.
