Crewe Carnival

Matrix performed at Crewe's annual Carnival event.

The squad demonstrated everything they  worked towards during summer school and performed in the main arena. 

There was no parade this year so the team just gathered on the King George Playing Field and despite the weather they performed well. Coach SJ said: "The squad did really well considering that they only had 4 weeks to practise and we had a lot of new members. During the 4 weeks of summer school everyone went back to basics and concentrated on improving skills rather than creating routines."

The squad now have a break before the timetable kicks off on September 6th with Junior and Senior tryouts this Thursday from 5-7pm. Check out the new timetable on the website for changes to practise days.

FC JUNGLE FEVER - CHESTER

Fees for competing teams travelling to the FC Chester competition are now due.

Prep Cheer and Youth Dance teams have been selected and the team list is on display in the shed. Some newer cheerleaders who have recently joined the squad have not been included in the team list for this competition. They will still be training alongside the competing team during practises and their first performance will be the Christmas Show. The cost for this competition is £26. It is being held at the Northgate Arena on Saturday October 23rd. Please note, there is no coach travelling to this competition and cheerleaders are expected to find their own way there and back. Parents wishing to purchase spectator tickets are advised to book online asap, www.futurecheer.net, Kit and costume requirements are also on display in the shed.

Matrix at Queens Park

 The sun was shining for the Matrix cheerleaders as they performed in Queen's Park as part of it's summer entertainment programme.

They performed all of their season's routines in front of a welcoming crowd and enjoyed the sun on June 20th.

As Matrix's competition season comes to a close, the team are now recruiting new members and are preparing for their open day on July 7th. 

 

BLACKPOOL SUCCESS!!!

 Matrix came back from the IDTA Empress Classic with an armful of 1st place trophies!!! The squad had massive success in the competition seeing them win ALL the cheerleading categories they entered, Prep, Peewee and Mums. They also took first place in 3 of the 6 stunt teams entered, Prep, Junior Coed and Senior. Solos also did well with our prep non tumble Alisha taking the top spot, and Maddie taking second. All the dance teams did extremely well too with the Peewee Phantom team taking runners up. Excellent results all round and massive praise to all the soloists and stunt teams who worked so hard in the run up to the competition, and the Prep Squad who remain undefeated this season. Well Done Matrix, we are so proud of you :D Our next competition is Jamfest on July 3rd in Liverpool. All seniors and Junior Cheer teams entering and fees are due now.

BELOW IS THE RUNNING ORDER FOR THE EMPRESS CLASSIC COMPETITION ON MAY 2ND. PLEASE NOTE THE COACH WILL BE LEAVING FROM ITS NORMAL PLACE AT 7AM, I NEED TO KNOW ASAP WHO IS AND ISN'T TRAVELLING ON IT. ANY REMAINDING FEES FOR THE COMPETITION NEED TO BE PAID THIS WEEK.
